Cleanliness 101: Teach Your Kids About Proper Hygiene

Kids love playing indoors and outdoors. And as they play, they can touch different surfaces where germs lurk.

Parents like you will not always be around at all times, especially when they are busy at work and the kids are in their school in Brooklyn. So it might be better to teach them how to care for themselves and stay clean.

As a Childcare provider, we can teach the children to do the following:

  • Proper handwashing with soap and clean water.
  • Hand rubbing with an alcohol-based sanitizer.
  • Sneezing or coughing using a handkerchief or tissue.
  • Spit in the washroom and not everywhere.

You can do this at home too! The children may find it fun to sing a happy birthday song twice while washing or sanitizing their hands than counting in seconds. And we should also teach them not to wipe their bodily fluids such as mucus and drool anywhere.

As a compassionate Daycare in Brooklyn, New York can trust, we commit ourselves not only to nurturing the kids academically and intellectually but also physically. We want to keep them safe from any infection they can get from their surroundings. At Petits Poussins Brooklyn, expect a holistic approach to developing young minds.
