Our extensive and rigorous academic bilingual program is inspired by the French Education Nationale “Classe maternelle” and follows the New York State academic standards in Early Childhood Education, as well. Our programs are divided by age group and ability:
- Infant 6 weeks-12 months
- Toddlers 12-24 Months
- Preschool 2-5 years old
- Spring and Summer Programs 2023-2024
DATES
- Mid-Term Break (one (1) week in February 2024 (Feb 20-23))
- Spring Break (one (1) week in April 2024 (Apr 2-5))
- Summer Program (six (6) weeks between July & August 2024 (July 1st-August 16))
Our teachers coming from the United States and overseas have diverse educational backgrounds. They all bring a great experience in teaching children in different types of programs. The teachers joining the VHG Preschools and Daycares, make a commitment to nurture students in a bilingual setting, with positive reinforcement principles in mind.
At Petits Poussins Brooklyn, learning takes place in various ways: listening, singing, drawing, tracing, mimicking, and more. As a preschool in Brooklyn, New York, we value all our children’s “Multiple Intelligences” and stimulate them with much different fun yet educational activities in both languages. We differentiate our instruction depending on our students’ needs. We understand that each child is unique and learns at his/her own pace. We document each child’s progress and set in motion any reinforcement or special service needed to achieve our learning goals. We believe that each child can succeed academically when given the right tools, and we commit to helping him/her reach its full potential.
