Hello! My name is Samirah and I am the English teacher in the toddler 2 room. I was born and raised in Benin Republic. I’m thrilled to be at Petits Poussins Brooklyn, although it’s my 2nd year with VHG group. Growing up, I’ve always known that I would become an early childhood educator, because like my mom, I like working with children. I truly have a passion for early childhood education. I’m actively engaged and dedicated about my practices. I am a lifelong learner and I seek out opportunities to grow as an educator and as a person. I did my bachelor’s in psychology and I’m currently doing my masters in Bilingual (French/English) early childhood education from birth to grade 2nd. The reason why I decided to do my Masters in bilingual education is that I’m polyglot and completely bilingual in French and English. I believe there should be more bilingual or French immersion schools for anyone who wants to keep their native language or who wants to learn French.
